Quick setup, effective payments

Needed to automate ACH payments. Signed up, linked account, and started sending. Took about 3 days for the first payment to clear. It worked as advertised. No issues.

Detailed review of onboarding and features

We recently switched to BILL for our entire back-office financial operations, focusing on Accounts Payable and the BILL Divvy Corporate Card. The onboarding process for AP automation was guided, and they had a decent library of help articles. Linking our bank accounts and integrating with NetSuite was mostly seamless, though one specific vendor setup required a bit of tweaking on our end. The Divvy card application was quick, and we received the virtual cards within a day. We used it for several international payments, and the fees were transparent upfront, which was appreciated. The mobile app for approvals worked well for our team on the go. My main observation is that while the core features like automated invoicing and payment tracking are robust, the cash flow forecasting tool could use more advanced customization options for varied business models. Support was responsive during setup, which helped a lot.

Easy to use AP automation

Signed up for Accounts Payable automation last month. It was pretty straightforward to get going. The interface felt intuitive, and I didn't have to spend ages figuring things out. Everything went smoothly, and it's saving us time already. Felt good to get that off our plate.

Good for expense tracking, slow support

The Spend and Expense management tools have been really helpful for keeping tabs on our outgoings. It was pretty easy to set up, and the reports are clear. However, I had a question about a specific transaction, and it took about two days for customer support to get back to me. They did resolve it eventually, but a quicker response would have been better. Overall, it's a solid platform for the price.

Consistent service for years

I've been using BILL for a few years now for our Accounts Receivable automation. This latest experience was just like the others – totally reliable. Payments came in as expected, and the integration with QuickBooks worked without a hitch, as always. They just consistently deliver, which is why we keep coming back.

Anyone know if there's a free trial for BILL? Or some way to test it out before committing?

B Brian Phillips 3 weeks ago
They usually have a 30-day free trial. You should be able to find it on their site.

Pretty sure they offer a free trial period. That's how I started using it, gave me enough time to see if it fit my needs.

Hey guys, thinking about trying BILL for my small business's AP. How long does it usually take for payments to actually go through for vendors?

K Kevin Garcia 1 week ago
From my experience, ACH payments are pretty quick, usually 2-3 business days. Wires are faster, often same day or next.

Yeah, ACH definitely takes a few days. If you need something super fast, wire transfer is the way to go, but there's a fee for that.

Does anyone know if BILL integrates with Xero? I use Xero for my accounting and don't want to double-enter everything.

D David F. 3 weeks ago
Yep, it does! I use it with Xero for my business, syncs pretty seamlessly.

Can confirm, it integrates with Xero. I think it also works with QuickBooks and NetSuite too, if anyone else is wondering.

Can you pay annually for BILL and get a discount? Or is it just month-to-month?

H Hannah Scott 1 week ago
I think they do offer a discount if you pay annually. Worth looking into their pricing page.

From what I remember, there's usually a discount if you commit to annual billing. Saves a bit of money in the long run.

How does BILL compare to Melio or Tipalti? Trying to decide between them for AP automation.

D Danielle Martin 6 days ago
BILL is more comprehensive than Melio, especially if you need expense management or credit lines. Tipalti is also good but might be overkill for smaller businesses.

J Josh Sanchez 3 days ago
I've used both BILL and Melio. BILL offers a lot more features beyond just payments, like budgeting and card management, which Melio doesn't really touch on.
